Fake Away Chicken Dhansak.
Serves 4

Ingredients:
20g Olive oil
1 Onion (diced)
10g Garlic puree
10g Ginger puree
4 tsp Medium curry powder
0.5 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp Paprika
600g Chicken breast (diced into chunks)
400g Tin of chopped tomatoes
1 Chicken stock cube (in 300ml water)
4 tsp Tamarind paste
1 tsp Sugar
200g Red split lentils
Method:
1. In a large saucepan over a medium heat; add the oil, onion, garlic, ginger and spices and fry for 2-3 minutes.
2. Add in the chicken and fry for a further 2-3 minutes.
3. Add in the stock and chopped tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
4. Add the lentils, tamarind paste and sugar and simmer for a further 15-20 minutes.
Serve with rice, naan bread or both.
Notes:
You can swap the chicken for a meat substitute and the chicken stock for vegetable stock.
